DescriptionThe requirement is for SWAG BU in Cisco. This group builds Software
and Applications that integrates network analytics, policy control,
Self-Optimizing Network (SON), and WAN orchestration capabilities to give
network operators better tools for monetizing traffic for Service Provider
market.>>Responsibilities- Write functional requirements/specifications and
design/architecture for network management software- Responsible for taking
technical decisions in owned areas and implementing complex software- Design of
highly available carrier grade systems- Design and Develop Software using C-
Review and analysis of technical and user documentation- Provide technical
leadership to other engineers in the team Desired Candidate ProfileSkills-
Minimum 10 years of experience with excellency in data structures, programming
(C language), design, debugging and problem solving skills- Minimum 5 years of
experience in programming using C on Linux.- Minimum 3 years of experience in
developing network management software (FCAPS) on Linux platform- Experience
with developing configuration management framework and CLI for networking
products- Minimum 5 years' development experience in system programming - socket
programming (tcp, udp, raw ip, netlink), system V IPC. Multi-threaded
programming, Understanding of file and network I/O- Must have experience in
developing software using XML- Experience with networking protocols e.g. TCP/IP,
UDP, NETCONF, SNMP, REST- Experience with Cisco routers/CLI is an advantage-
Experience in DPI, Firewell/NAT and related ! technologies is an added
advantage- Experience in 3GPP policy & charging protocols and interfaces e.g.
diameter, Gx, Gy, Gz is an advantage- Experience in data network technologies
such as DPI, VPN, routing/switching is an advantage- Good familiarity with
version control tools- Experience of working on multiple software releases
simultaneously- Needs to be Bachelors in Engineering (Computer Science, E &TC).
